Glucosamineis a naturally occurring amino sugar in the human body. The substance serves as a component of complex endogenous macromolecules such as glycoproteins and hyaluronic acid in the connective tissue of the skin. It stimulates the synthesis of the skin's own moisturizing factor hyaluronic acid, which as a component of the skin is important for its water balance.
Aminosugars can bind large amounts of moisture, which has a positive effect on the skin. In addition, glucosamine supports the build-up of collagen in the connective tissue. Collagen is a very important support fiber in the skin, which is responsible for the elasticity and firmness of the skin. Everything that stimulates the build-up of collagen makes the skin firmer and smoother, as does the active ingredient glucosamine.
Vitamin E
is also called "cell protection vitamin". It protects against oxidation, so it is an excellent free radical scavenger. It increases the skin's defenses, invigorates it and prevents premature skin aging.
